Ultracast - Rapid Prototyping Specialists

CAM EngineernigDesign Engineering

Designing our pattern tooling is based on four important customer requirements: metal geometry, the purpose of your cast component, the likelihood of changes, and the number of pieces needed during the program life.

You can download your electronic files to our FTP site or email in any common format, or we can work from your prints or design samples. All adjustments necessary for casting such as draft, shrinkage and parting lines can be added at Ultracast or in conjunction with your engineering staff.

Our engineers can complete in just hours component designs that require weeks by competing casting methods. We work with your designers to enhance your product.

Tool Building & Management

We approach your tooling needs by initially analyzing your component's geometry. We then consider how many parts the tool will be required to produce and how quickly parts must get to market. This allows us to develop the best, most cost-effective, tooling methods to satisfy your needs.

It is possible to duplicate your electronic file either by direct machining into a pattern using CNC machining centers (Subtractive Rapid Tooling) or as a stereolithography model (SLA).

Under optimum conditions we can move from your electronic file to first cast sample in just 3 days.
